Trains East Coast Pride Event

Background & Brief

Virgin Trains contacted us after we were recommended to them by a client we had worked with at Flybe. The call for the Pride Event came quite late in the day, and the pressure was on the client to produce a first class event, and therefore on ourselves to support them in doing so. Virgin were looking to light the whole front of Newcastle Central Station in rainbow colours, with Gobo projection, decals and disco balls around the station.

Project

So to not waste time the day after we received the initial enquiry from Virgin our Managing Director David jumped on a train and went to the venue to complete a site visit. Following this the event was designed, quoted and confirmed. We work with both very hands on and hand off clients, the team at Virgin had a huge amount of work to do in the lead up to the event and they put their faith for this element in the hands of our experience and expertise.

Result

The event received a huge amount of press coverage, and glowing accolades from all who attended. The client was extremely happy with how creative we had been, and what we had produced at the venue. Given the shorter lead in time we were extremely lucky to be supported by a team of fantastic venue staff and local suppliers. We can’t wait to work with Virgin again.
